Our palm baskets are woven in Morocco. The palm leaves are from trees and plants that grow wild in the countryside. They are harvested and dried in the sunshine then the palm leaves are woven into strips and the strips are then sewn together to make up the baskets. Depending on the size, it takes 3-4 hours to make each basket.
The bags are then hand painted in the UK.
Every bag is unique and there are slight discrepancies in size due to the nature of the product and handmade production process. Due to the bags being made of straw there is movement therefore this can lead to chipping of the paint but adds to the look.
